Fortice

Read about how we worked with our sister company Cre8ion to develop a custom job vacancy platform, embedded into a WordPress site build…

The Problem

During a complete rebrand of the recruitment agency Fortice, our sister company Cre8ion needed assistance to integrate Fortice’s recruitment management job vacancy platform. The whole site had been built in WordPress and the main priority for candidates was its job search tool. With the workflow of the organisation using tech was one of their key selling points and automation of tasks was a great way of optimising this USP.

Having looked around for an off the shelf solution, we found that there was no existing plug in that would serve as a go between to avoid having to double enter jobs (one on the platform and another on the website). Cre8ion needed a dedicated plug in tool to make this happen.

One piece of data (job roles) when fed into the main system needed to update onto the website – the brief was clear and Di9ital set about delivering a bespoke solution.

The idea was to build a calculator to enable people to calculate emissions for their offices, employee travel, vehicles, IT server usage and more, following GHG protocol guidelines.

The solution

Di9ital met with the team at Cre8ion who already had a clear brief and went about creating a solution with a focus on minimising the number of times data had to be entered, seamlessly integrating with the new WordPress website.

The system was a platform called Itris 9. After gaining full understanding of its fields and function we set about creating an automatic import whenever vacancies were added or updated.

Essentially, we had to introduce a consistent format for how job vacancies were recorded, making the automatic nature of the fields match in the WordPress site. This custom integration allows for new vacancies to be imported and displayed on the site, while any text changes are reflected too. When vacancies are filled, the integration automatically unpublishes these posts from the website as they make adjustments through the internal Itris 9 system.

The team at Fortice now have a solution that uses some custom code to enhance their no-code website platform and ensures the client has a simpler workflow. The solution has removed any additional time from being wasted due to double entry and, as the business scales, it’s making sure that the ‘shop window’ of job vacancies is accurate and not outdated. Less errors and accurate data are helping Fortice to flourish!
